云凝为雨滴坠入海洋

作品来源于一个自然现象：当海面上下起雨时，雨水连接起云层与海洋。控制系统连接网络实时获取十天之后作者家乡青岛市某片海域的气象预测数据以控制装置中水气与水面高度，由此其与水的凝结与坠落一同呈现出某种处于预测状态中的不确定性系统。在其中，技术的目的是控制，而水的物理特性让这个过程难以被精确的控制与预测，我们无法知道在什么时刻，位于何处的水滴会落下。作品同时也是处于当下技术人文时空中对汉斯· 哈克《凝结立方》(1963-68) 的一种回应。

This work stems from a natural phenomenon: when it rains on the sea, the rain connects the clouds and the ocean. By collecting the forecast data of a specific sea area in the artist’s hometown Qingdao ten days beforehand, a control system manages to steer the formation of water vapor and the height of water surface in the installation. Together with the condensation and the fall of water, the installation
shows an uncertain system with a state of prediction.
In the system, the purpose of technology is to manipulate, whereas the physical properties of water complicate the process of precise control and prediction. The work is also a response to Condensation Cube(1963-68) by Hans Haacke in the current techno-humanistic time and space.
